Mediterranean Food is varied by region, however typically lamb and chicken is more common than beef and goat, salad and simply prepared vegetables are more common than complex vegetable dishes, fresh and dried herbs and spices are used in most dishes (typically parsley, mint, black pepper and cumin).
Desserts are usually very sweet but served in small portions.
Many ask - is it spicy? If you mean chilli hot - no, not here at Mediterranean Kitchen. No dish has chilli in it or could be described as ‘hot’. However…chilli sauce is always available for those that just can’t live without it.
